Domaine Pradelle
This family domaine, now in the hands of Jacques and Jean-Louis Pradelle, who prune low yield vines (about 35 hl per hectare) on their 20 hectare plot near the villages of Chabos-Curson, Mercurol and Beaumont-Monteaux. Producing a mere 8,500 cases a year, the Pradelle's make a beautifully crafted deeply coloured red, with a rich, meaty and smoky aroma and palate and beautiful soft finish. The white Crozes is a rich display of the style. Made from mostly Marsanne, this white displays an elegant, scented aroma of wild flowers and anise. The palate is full bodied, with concentrated flavours of vanilla and honey, with floral overtones.
