Domaine Morey Coffinet
Michel Coffinet cultivates 9 hectares of vineyard in Chassagne Montrachet, 5 hectares producing Chardonnay grapes while the remaining 4 hectares are planted with Pinot Noir. The Domaine is comparatively young, having formed in 1979 through a merger of vineyards owned by Marc Morey (Michel’s father) and Fernand Coffinet (his father in law). Michel vinified his wines traditionally, fermenting in tank before transferring to barrels (a third of which are new), and emplying regular bâtonnage 9stirring the wines on their lees in barrel).
