Domaine de Chevalier
Domaine de Chevalier is classified as a Graves Cru Classé. The property is located on the fringes of the Lande pine forests and planted with 33 hectares of red varietals and 5 hectares of white. It is one of the few Graves estates to produce both first-class reds and whites The soil is black sand mixed with fine white gravel; at a depth of 60 to 90cm above a well-drained clay-gravel subsoil.
The property was purchased by the Ricard family in 1865 and remained in their hands until it was bought by the Bernard distilling company in 1983.
