Coriole Vineyards

Coriole Vineyards was established by the Lloyd family in 1967, in hills overlooking the McLaren Vale wine region, one of Australia’s oldest wine districts. The first vineyard on the site was planted in 1920, with further vineyards added in the late 1960's and 1990's. Current winemakers are Simon White and Matt Broomhead, while Mark and Paul Lloyd run the estate. Coriole’s grapes are sourced mainly from its own vineyards, but some fruit is putchased from neighbouring growers (all situated in the Seaview sub region of McLaren Vale). The estate boasts spectacular views from the hills overlooking the sea, and nature has been kind to the region. The red soil base over limestone is perfect for viticulture, and good winter rainfall and the moderating influence of the sea have made McLaren Vale one of Australia’s premium wine producing areas.
