Chateau Monlot Capet
This tiny estate with a grand cru St Émilion appellation covers a mere 8 hectares and is owned by the Rivals family.
Made from 65% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, the vinification is traditional; fermentation takes place in cement vats and continues for 15 to 20 days depending on the vintage. Half of the wine is matured in oak barrels of which 20% are renewed each year ensuring the preservation of the fruitier characteristics of the wine.
