Chateau Leoville Les Cases
This is the biggest and best of the three famous Leoville estates and is currently without doubt the leading St-Julien wine. This 97ha 2nd growth prestigious estate is superbly situated on the famous gravelly-clay soils with the largest plot enclosed in stone wall stretching between St-Julien and Château Latour.
This great estate continues to turn out wines of first-growth quality, and increasingly, at first-growth price levels. The wine is dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon (65%) and matured in oak barrels (80% new) for 18 months, prior to bottling.
