Loire Valley

Perhaps the most famous appellations of the Loire, Sancerre and Pouilly-Fumé are names that suggest quality, elegance and sophistication, and for many are the pinnacle of the Sauvignon Blanc grape.
But aside from top rate Sauvignon the vast production area of the Loire Valley offers a fantastically diverse range of wines. Muscadet is virtually unique to the region, and Chenin Blanc (still or sparkling) has found a perfect home here. We're delighted to be able to offer rare and highly sought after Sancerre Rosé..

Château de Tracy, Pouilly Fumé

Château de Tracy has a long and noble history under the The d'Estutt d'Assay family, with evidence of winemaking dating back to 1396. The Sauvignon Blanc vines have an average age of 25 years, and produce an excellent example of classic Pouilly Fumé with an intense citrus nose and characteristic 'gun flint' minerality. The rich palate with hints of almonds is lifted by a freshness attributed to contact with the lees.
