Australia

The Australian wine industry enjoys a special relationship with the UK market. We are their biggest customer (with the USA trailing a distant second), and Aussie wine sales retain pole position over French wines in Britain.

In an industry dominated by bulk wines and big brands Balls Brothers is careful to maintain close relationships with small family producers. Winemakers like Andrew and Jane Mitchell, and David and Cheryl at Thorn-Clarke Wines typify all that's best about the New World.

Karri Oak

Located in Western Australia, south of Perth, Frankland River is one of Australia’s fastest growing wine regions. Although viticulture began in the Frankland River region in 1969, it has only more recently become known as a significant producer of premium quality wines. Winemaker Kim Horton was named ‘Young Winemaker of the Year’ in the Australian wine selector's awards in 2005.

The Cabernet-Merlot is full bodied with plum and dark berries on the nose which follow through to the palate with hints of balanced oak.
