Chile
Our exclusive Ladera Verde wines are made by the award winning wine makers at Concha Y Toro's Frontera winery.
Sauvignon Blanc:
Wine maker Mario Miranda is an Agricultural Engineer and a graduate from the University of Talca, he joined Concha y Toro in 1996 and that same year was appointed head of the Lontué Cellar, located in the Curicó Valley. Since 1999 he has been in charge of the white wine making at Frontera.
"To create wines with originality and personality that reflect the goodness of the grapes produced in the vineyards is a sure way for Concha y Toro's products to stand out because of their quality ".
The wine is a blend of two grape varieties that complement each other beautifully; Sauvignon Blanc provides complexity, bouquet and elegance, while Semillon is added for freshness, fruitiness and balance. Created in the traditional French style, this excellent dry wine is a pleasure with soft flavoured fish and seafood.
Merlot:
Hector Urzua graduated from the University of Chile and is charge of red wine making at the Frontera winery. His work has led to Frontera producing the best selling Chilean red wine in the world.

Violet red, bright in color. Herbs, berries and pepper are apparent in the taste. On the palate, the wine is soft, medium body, rounded and harmonic with a persistent finish. Very smooth. Merlot provides forward fruit and easy drinkability while Carménère offers structure and longevity. A delightful accompaniment to white meats, cheeses, and pasta dishes
Argentina
Malbec has found a perfect home in Argentina - Alto Pampas del Sur Malbec from the Mendoza Valley is a fantastic entry level example.
North America
We have previously included premium producers from the USA, but because we wanted something to represent our commitment to quality and value for money we whittled our list down to one of the best producers in California, Delicato, who produce our exclusive Angel's Flight range from Lodi County in California.
