Chile

Perhaps the greatest success story of the 1990s was the rise of
Chilean wine. The superb growing conditions produce wines of great
flavour, whilst the obvious French influence gives them subtlety and
elegance. Viña Carmen The oldest of the Chilean houses, Viña Carmen was established in 1850 by Christian Lanz. Today a household name, Carmen produces lush, fruit driven wines that represent exceptional quality and value. All of their Campo de Oro range has an approachable style that can be drunk with or without food whilst maintaining quality and flavour. Our very own Balls Brothers Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon is the creation of Viña Carmen together with Richard Balls who blend it to produce an approachable yet reserved style of wine. We have aimed to produce a wine with an elegant structure and ripe fruity flavours that encapsulate the very best of Chile. | ![]() |
